Grist

 

William Yong’s Grist (originally called Traces) will be at the CanAsian International Dance Festival as part of the Kickstart rising choreographers series on the 9th of February.

The music is a cocktail of Balinese gongs, a small ensemble consisting of piano, double bass and brushed drums together with radio interferences and static signals treated through the EMS Synthi AKS.

I’ll upload some bits and pieces as soon as I get a speck of time to set up this website’s audio section.
